My interest in elderly care began when I was young as I listened to my grandma talk about the care home she operated in the 1960s. When she commissioned a new home in the 1980s I began to work with her in an administrative role, supporting staff and gaining valuable experience and qualifications.
My career with Hill Care began in 2006 and I have managed both dementia and nursing homes in the group. I was delighted to be promoted to the role of Regional Manager in 2022 and have gained my level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management.
I have worked in the care sector for 17 years, starting as a care assistant and working my way through the ranks in roles such as administrator, Deputy Manager and Home Manager.
I have experience of managing services that specialise in nursing, dementia nursing, residential and dementia residential homes before joining Hill Care as a Regional Manager in 2021.
I hold an NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care and an NVQ Level 4 Registered Managers Award. I believe that all residents in our care should be treated as if they are members of my own family.
