Home Press Releases Brownies spread festive spirit at Merseyside care home
CHRISTMAS carol singing Brownies put on a festive performance for elderly residents at their Merseyside care home.
The St Bartholomew’s Church Brownies visited Aaron Grange Care Home, on Blacklow Brow, Huyton, to sing a range of classic carols.
They also delivered handmade Christmas cards, each personalised to a resident at the home.
Karen Jenkinson, the daughter of resident Dotty Jenkinson, arranged the visit for her mother and others living at the home.
Dotty, a former Brown Owl, said: “I was so happy that they came to visit the home and felt very overwhelmed by the children and how well presented they all were.”
Clare Richards, home manager at Aaron Grange Care Home, said: “Our residents were so grateful and overwhelmed that the children had thought of them and made each and every one of them a personalised Christmas card.
“None of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for our resident Dotty Jenkinson’s daughter, Karen, who organised this lovely visit.
“Thanks again Karen and thanks to the Brownies for their visit.”
