Home Press Releases Care home car wash raises funds for Stroke Association
CARE home workers got out the buckets and sponges for a charity car wash in Bakewell.
Staff from Burton Closes Hall Care Home, on Haddon Road, ran the fundraiser for the Stroke Association.
The Bakewell home is one of dozens of Hill Care Group homes raising funds for the charity this year.
They collected £137 from generous Bakewell drivers on the day.
Hill Care regional manager Kim Bibby, carer Charmain Yeardley, kitchen assistant Craig Mitchell and activities coordinator Dorothy Haparimwi all took part in the pop-up charity car wash.
Kim said: “A big thank you goes to the staff for taking part in the Stroke Association car wash – especially Charmaine and Craig who attended on their day off.
“The Stroke Association is Hill Care’s nominated charity this year, with homes across the north all trying to raise as much as possible.
“It is a charity close to the hearts of everyone at Hill Care, as many of our residents have been affected by or know someone affected by stroke.”
