Home Press Releases Care home enjoys Furnominal visit from pet pooches
A PACK of paw-fect visitors from Furnominal Pet Services popped in to see Runcorn care home residents.
Simonsfield Care Home, on Boston Avenue, welcomed several dogs from Furnominal Pet Services, which provides dog grooming, walking and sitting.
The visit was the first time the Runcorn-based business had taken their dogs into a care home.
Shelly Tunnicliffe, owner of Furnominal Pet Services, said: “Beth and I took some of our dogs up to Simonsfield Care Home.
“The joy, happiness, tears and smiles this brought to these residents is totally priceless.
“Dogs are by far the best therapy. I know this as I work with them every day.
“I was truly touched by what I saw and felt today. And can’t wait to go back again. Melted my heart it did.”
Debbie Smith, home manager at Simonsfield Care Home, said: “We are so grateful to Furnominal Pet Services for bringing their dogs to meet the residents.
“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed petting the dogs and the residents asked if they could come back again. We hope to see them again soon.”
