Home Press Releases Care home residents raise a china cup to Afternoon Tea Week
AFTERNOON Tea Week was celebrated at a Skelmersdale care home – joining fellow tea enthusiasts around the country.
Aaron Crest Care Home, on Tanhouse Road, held a tea party for residents as well as their families and friends.
They were treated to a buffet lunch followed by a selection of homemade scones with jam and clotted cream, chocolate brownies and sponge cakes.
The food was served alongside lots of tea, using the home’s best china and vintage teapots.
Staff sang and danced to entertain residents and guests throughout the meal – with many joining in for the singalong.
Adrienne Ratcliffe, home manager at Aaron Crest Care Home, said: “Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon celebrating National Tea Week.”
