Home Press Releases Care home’s car wash raises funds for cancer charity
CARE home staff turned their hand to car washing for a day to raise funds to support those with cancer.
Staff at Queens Meadow Care Home, on Stockton Road, Hartlepool, invited family and friends of the home to bring their cars in for a clean.
They were treated to mocktails while they waited and all proceeds from the event went to Macmillan Cancer Support. The event raised £60.
Macmillan is the chosen charity of the year for the Hill Care Group, which operates Queens Meadow Care Home, among others across the North East.
Julie Armstrong, home manager at Queens Meadow Care Home, said: “It was a fun and very windy day but we still raised money for such a good cause.
“A big thank you to everyone who took part, either helping with the car wash or bringing their vehicle in and donating.”
