Home Press Releases Hill Care homes take part in charity cupcake sale
A CUPCAKE campaign across the Hill Care Group has helped raise hundreds of pounds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Residents and staff at all Hill Care Group homes across the north of England took part in the charity bake sale – with frosted buns and chocolate chip muffins generating over £600.
They helped make and decorate the delicious treats, which were then sold to family, friends and visitors.
The cupcake sale was part of a year-long fundraising campaign by the Hill Care Group for the Alzheimer’s Society – which has raised over £4,500 so far, through a wide-range of activities.
The campaign will culminate in a 330-mile cycle ride from London to Paris by Hill Care managing director Wendy Waddicor, who led her own cupcake sale at the head office in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Wendy said: “I’m so pleased and proud of all our homes taking part in the cupcake sale, helping to raise such an amazing amount for the Alzheimer’s Society.”
