Home Press Releases Christmas fayre brings festive cheer to Peterlee care home
THE MAYOR of Peterlee officially kicked off the Christmas cheer for elderly care home residents by opening their annual festive fayre.
Mayor Councillor Mary Cartwright was among the visitors to Bannatyne Lodge Care Home, on Manor Way, for the Christmas celebration.
Bric-a-brac stalls, raffles and home baked cakes help raise over £510 for the residents’ fund, which will go towards day-trips for those living at the home.
Dawn Minto, activities coordinator at Bannatyne Lodge Care Home, said: “It’s wonderful the mayor could attend our annual Christmas fayre.
“It means a lot to the residents to see her here at Bannatyne Lodge.”
