Home Press Releases Lunch Club launched by Stockton care home residents
STOCKTON care home residents have begun a tour of Teesside eateries after launching a lunch club.
The Beeches Care Home, on Green Lane, established the club with an inaugural visit to the Horse and Jockey, on Durham Road.
Over 20 residents and staff enjoyed the traditional pub lunch.
Helen Wood, home manager, said: “It’s important for our residents to feel part of the wider Stockton community and popping out for lunch is something we all enjoy.
“The staff and residents decided to launch a dedicated lunch club so they could organise regular trips to different pubs and restaurants in the area throughout the year.
“Our thanks go to the Horse and Jockey for hosting the club’s first trip. They went out of their way to accommodate such a large party.
“Everyone had a great time and they’re already looking forward to their next outing.”
