Home Press Releases Miss Teen Nottingham visits Sandiacre care home
MISS Teen Nottingham has been spending time with Sandiacre care home residents ahead of a national competition.
17-year-old Alina Antonia visited Longmoor Lodge Care Home to take part in various activities with the elderly residents.
Resident Thelma Harwood had her hair curled by the two-time winner of the Miss Teen Nottingham Galaxy competition.
She also held the home’s pet guinea pigs with resident Marjorie Marriot and helped serve lunch.
Alina is set to take part in the Miss Teen UK Galaxy Pageant in March 2018.
She said: “I felt very welcome coming into Longmoor Lodge Care Home and it was lovely meeting all the residents. The atmosphere was brilliant.
“I will be talking about my visit to the home when I attend the Miss Galaxy UK contest next month and I hope to visit again in future.”
Samantha Ely, home manager at Longmoor Lodge Care Home, on Longmoor Lane, said: “We were pleased to welcome Alina to the home to take part in activities with our residents.
“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed her company and are looking forward to seeing her again in future.
“We wish her all the best for her upcoming competition.”
