Home Press Releases New manager brings 30 years’ experience to Tyneside home
A NEW manager with a three decade career in care has been appointed the top job at a Tyneside care home.
Andrena Piggins is now the home manager at Willowdene Care Home, on Victoria Road West, in Hebburn.
She has more than 17 years’ experience as a home manager and has worked in the care sector in York, Hartlepool, Bishop Aukland and North Wales since the late 1980s.
Andrena has also worked as an NVQ trainer, in 1999, before returning to the care sector as a senior carer and quickly rising to management level.
She said: “I want to see that people who live in a care home enjoy life, have new experiences and learn new things. And they must have fun.
“I love to create a strong, happy care team, as this then benefits the residents, bringing joy into the home and ensuring those who live with us have real quality of life.”
