Home Press Releases Purple custard chucked at care home manager for charity
A CARE home manager was put in the stocks and covered in purple custard for the Stroke Association’s Make May Purple campaign.
The event took place at Springbank House Care Home, in Chesterfield, as part of ongoing fundraising efforts for the charity.
The home’s residents took turns throwing purple custard at manager Karen Busby, before care assistant Danny Buckle donated £10 to dump a whole bucket over her head.
A cupcake stall and tombola helped generate over £60 in donations, taking the home’s total to £128.25 raised for the Stroke Association so far this year.
Karen said: “I would like to thank all team members, residents and relatives who supported and took part in the Stroke Association Make May Purple event.
“Everyone worked very hard to help on the day or for preparations beforehand and we all had a great time, while raising money for a worthy cause.”
