Home Press Releases Summer fair raised funds for Chesterfield care home residents
A SUMMER fair and car wash has raised hundreds of pounds for elderly care home residents in Chesterfield.
The event was held at Springbank House Care Home, on Ashgate Road, which included cupcake and jumble stalls, a barbecue and refreshments.
Pony rides on the home’s garden were provided by Lollipop Pony Parties, who also brought a Shetland to visit residents inside the home.
Along with the car wash manned by staff and relatives, over £600 was raised, smashing their £400 target.
The money will be added to the residents’ fund, which helps towards day-trips and activities for those living at Springbank House Care Home.
Karen Busby, home manager, said: “I’d like to thank everyone, including the staff who worked so hard for the event to take place, and all the relatives that donated and supported on the day.
“A special thank you goes to all the little ones who helped out. It was a great family fun day.
“Once again, a big heartfelt thank you to all who continue to support us.”
