Home Press Releases Summer fayre ends “wonderful week” for Teesside care home
A SUMMER fayre raised hundreds of pounds for Teesside care home residents.
A tombola, cake sale, raffle, BBQ and stalls helped generate £402 for residents at Ingleby Care Home, in Ingleby Barwick, Stockton-on-Tees.
The money will add to the residents’ fund, which contributes towards activities and trips for those living at the home.
Resident Sylvia Day, who helped on the tombola stall, said: “It was a brilliant event. I really enjoyed helping out on the tombola as it made me feel useful.”
Resident Leah Walton said: “I was thrilled to win a multicoloured unicorn from the teddy tombola.”
Kirsty Walsh, activities coordinator at Ingleby Care Home, on Lamb Lane, said: “It’s been a wonderful week; firstly, celebrating the fantastic achievement of outstanding in care on our CQC report and, secondly, the sun shining on our summer fayre.
“I just want to thank everyone who donated items for the tombolas, the willing hands who helped out and the wonderful family members, staff and friends who attended the event.”
