Home Press Releases Summer fayre fun raises funds for care home residents
TRADITIONAL fayre games helped a Ripon care home raise hundreds of pounds for their residents’ fund.
A raffle, tombola and a game of guess how many sweets in the jar generated £457 at the Sycamore Hall Care Home summer fayre.
The funds will go towards activities and day trips for those living at the home, on Kearsley Road, Ripon.
The Mayor of Ripon Cllr Eamon Parkin and Mayoress Sarah Henry attended the event alongside families and friends of those who work and live at the home.
They also enjoyed music from folk duo Iain Glover and Joolz Cavell.
Lesley Shepherd, regional manager for the Hill Care Group, which operates Sycamore Hall Care Home, said: “Everyone had a fabulous afternoon at our summer fayre.
“We’d like to say a big thank you to the Mayor and Mayoress of Ripon for attending, alongside everyone else who came to support, contribute and make this such a great event.”
