Home Press Releases Teesside care home gets “Good” rating from regulator CQC
STAFF at a Teesside care home are “thrilled” to have their dedication recognised by the care industry watchdog following a recent inspection.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has given The Beeches Care Home, in Stockton-on-Tees, the overall rating of “Good”.
Inspectors awarded the rating in all five categories of their assessment – safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
The report stated the home’s residents were “supported to maintain a healthy diet”, “treated with equality, dignity and respect” and provided with “person centred care”, among other findings.
The home’s manager has said the rating demonstrates the team effort and commitment of her staff.
The inspection was the first since Helen Wood took over as home manager of The Beeches Care Home, on Green Lane, a year ago.
She has worked in care for 15 years, rising to deputy manager at the home before being promoted.
She said: “Our residents are at the centre of all we do and it’s great the CQC have acknowledged this ongoing commitment.
“It’s been a team effort to achieve this result and I really appreciate the dedication everyone has shown.
“The staff and I are all absolutely thrilled to have received the ‘Good’ rating and we will strive to continue providing the best possible care for our residents.”
