Home Press Releases Tina Hill rewarded for compassion at Chesterfield care home
A CARE home worker has been commended for her “kind, caring and compassionate” approach to the job.
Tina Hill is a health care assistant at Springbank House Care Home in Chesterfield, where she was chosen by her colleagues for the award.
She had previously worked in a care home kitchen for 16 years before gaining her care certification and NVQ and joining Springbank House in October 2016.
Tina said: “I didn’t think I would ever be anything but a kitchen staff member but I’m delighted with the change of role and I like it.
“I enjoy helping residents enjoy their time in the care home.
“It was nice to get some recognition with the award and for the manager to appreciate all my hard work.”
Karen Busby, home manager at Springbank House Care Home, on Ashgate Road, chose Tina as the home’s first ever Employee of the Month.
She said: “Tina joined Springbank almost 18 months ago and she was made for the role. She is very kind, caring and compassionate.
“We’ve just started doing Employee of the Month and Tina is a deserved winner.”
