Home Press Releases VIP rugby experience for Cheshire care home residents
A VIP rugby experience was arranged for Cheshire care home residents at a recent match between the Widnes Vikings and Hull FC.
The Hill Care Group’s Simonsfield Care Home and Halton View Care Home were invited to the Super League match by Delivered Health Solutions.
The Widnes-based supplier of infection control and prevention services was the Executive Match Sponsor for the game and used its ticket allocation to reward those living in care homes in the region.
Residents, staff and family members got prime seats, enjoyed a special post-match meet and greet with the Vikings stars and exclusive behind-the-scenes access.
Amanda Kelly, home manager for Halton View Care Home, on Sadler Street in Widnes, said: “A number of our residents are lifelong Vikings fans and were absolutely delighted to get tickets to the latest match.
“We can’t thank Delivered Health Solutions enough for inviting us along. All the residents, staff and family members who went along had a great time.
“We take our residents out as often as possible but a VIP invitation to watch the Vikings is extra-special. Our residents can’t stop talking about it.”
Barbara Meeks, Managing Director of Delivered Health Solutions, said: “We were delighted to welcome our local care home community to the game as our special guests.
“We were keen to use our tickets to give a special experience to people living in care homes and the dedicated people that enable them to lead full lives. It was fantastic to see how much they all enjoyed their day.”
Dave Rolt, Head of Commercial at Widnes Vikings, says: “Delivered Health Solutions’ idea of inviting local care home residents to the game was a fantastic gesture, and typifies our experience of them being a business with great values.
“It was brilliant to see how excited everyone was to be part of the game and meet our players.”
