Established over 40 years ago, Thornhill Care Home is steeped in history and offers a personal yet professional level of care to residents.
The home is easy to access from the A629 and is also close to the M62 motorway with great links to Halifax and Brighouse.
We are located within a residential location within walking distance of local amenities.

The team at Thornhill Care Home are highly trained and experienced, ready to aid in all manner of care.
We provide individualised care plans after an initial assessment in order for us to understand a resident’s needs before they move in with us. This not only gives us a better understanding of the requirements of our residents, but also reassures them that they will receive round the clock dedicated care from professionals.

Facilities
All of our rooms are bright and homely with a television point, WiFi and a nurse call system for the safety and peace of mind of each resident.
We encourage our residents to personalise their room with furniture and belongings from home, which helps them settle in as well as giving them a familiar, happy environment.
All rooms have wheelchair accessibility.
Pets are welcome here by arrangement at Thornhill, making sure residents are happy with their move into their new home.
We encourage our residents to keep their own GP and appointments where possible so that they can have control over their own health.
We have a car park accessible for visitors.
Amenities
All meals are prepared freshly on-site by our trained cooks and chefs, catering for any dietary and cultural needs. We have snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments available around the home 24 hours a day, so residents are never short of something to much on. We also have special and themed food nights. We have a choice of meals prepared in our 5* hygiene rated kitchen, and we endeavour to ensure that there is something everyone likes on our menu. Of course, residents don’t have to socialise at meal times and have the option to enjoy their meals in their own room.
Here at Thornhill Nursing Care Home in West Yorkshire, we have our own TV room where everyone is welcome. It provides the perfect opportunity for residents to socialise and relax during the day. We also have a kitchenette for residents and their visitors to use which creates a sense of independence which we feel is important.
Outside of Thornhill Residential Care Home, we have an enclosed courtyard garden which is all lawned, perfect for relaxing in the summer months. Our residents love taking advantage of our garden, which is completely wheelchair accessible.
We believe it is important to offer a range of activities so there’s something everyone can enjoy.
