Home Press Releases 1970s brought back at The Beeches Care Home
TIME travelling care home residents took a trip back to the 1970s for a themed party with ABBA, the Pink Ladies and a disco.
Flares, headbands, pink jackets and other colourful clothing were all seen strutting the dance floor at The Beeches Care Home, on Green Lane, Stockton-on-Tees.
The home’s staff all wore seventies themed clothing for the day, with several residents breaking out their brightest outfits to join in the fun.
Care assistant Donna Hatton was face painting flowers for anyone who wanted one and entertainer Michaela from Musical Memories led the ABBA tribute show.
Helen Wood, home manager at The Beeches Care Home, said: “The residents said they’d like to have an ABBA night and it grew from there.
“Before we knew it, we had an ABBA tribute entertainer booked, staff were turning up dressed as the Pink Ladies from Grease, and the disco ball was lighting up the foyer.
“Everyone had a great time and I’m sure it won’t be long before we visit a different decade for another themed party.”
