A ‘WONDERFUL’ afternoon tea dance at Alnwick Gardens was held for elderly care home residents.
Waverley Lodge Care Home, in Lemington, Newcastle, took a trip to the stunning Northumberland tourist attraction to attend the Care to Dance event.
Held in the Pavilion Room, overlooking the garden’s magnificent fountain cascade, the residents enjoyed bingo, a raffle, sing-along and lots of dancing.
Resident Anne Francis said: “Alnwick Gardens is a beautiful place. The tea was delicious and I had a lovely dance.”
Michelle Sewell, activities coordinator at Waverley Lodge Care Home, said: “It was wonderful to see how much fun the residents had at this event.
“Being a part of community events is really important for the residents and it was great that we could attend.”
