Home Press Releases Dignity award received by Chesterfield care home
A CHESTERFIELD care home has been named a dignity champion after receiving an award for their services to residents.
Springbank House Care Home, on Ashgate Road, was given the Derbyshire Dignity Campaign Award by Derbyshire County Council after completing a rigorous application process.
The campaign, run jointly with NHS Derbyshire, aims to ensure every social care and health service team, establishment and provider is giving a consistent experience of dignity and respect.
As part of the process, the team at Springbank House had to provide evidence and examples of policies, practices, and ethos that ensured dignity for all those living at the home.
They also had to complete a project to enhance their compassionate, person-centred, and efficient care.
Karen Busby, home manager at Springbank House Care Home, said: “Staff members, from the regional manager to laundry assistant, had all supported Springbank to maintain dignity throughout the home.
“I am so proud of each and every team member and cannot praise them enough for the wonderful work they do throughout the care home.
“What an incredible achievement, it really is true that ‘teamwork makes the dream work’. Well done everyone.”
