Home Press Releases Elderly break out the bubbly after birth of royal baby
THE BUBBLY was brought out at a Teesside care home after residents heard news of the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child.
Residents at Ingleby Care Home, on Lamb Lane, Ingleby Barwick, enjoyed a glass of prosecco as they watched the royal couple and their newborn son on TV.
After seeing Catherine leaving St Mary’s Hospital in London with Prince William, resident Vera Fleming said: “Didn’t Kate do well.”
Resident Olive Smith added: “We’ve had such a great party.”
Carol Singleton, home manager at Ingleby Care Home, said: “The news of the Prince William and Kate’s new baby was fantastic.
“The residents were all delighted and enjoyed a lovely glass of prosecco to mark the occasion.
“Our residents are big supporters of the monarchy and love celebrating news from the royals.
“We recently marked the Queen’s 92nd birthday as part of National Care Home Open Day and everyone is looking forward to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding next month.”
