SUPER FIT care home worker Victoria Farn raised over £120 running the Sunderland City 10k for elderly residents.

Administrator for Bannatyne Lodge Care Home, Vicky took part to help fund a day trip for those living at the Peterlee care home in County Durham.

The running enthusiast completed the 10k in just 53 minutes – a personal best.

She was one of over 2,500 runners who took part in the race.

She said: “I have always liked running and usually run twice a week. I like to put my music in and switch off. It helps me unwind after a day at work.

“I like entering the races as it pushes me, as it’s a little competitive, which helped me get a PB.

“I’m doing the Great North Run in September and I’m hoping to get a time under two hours. I’ll be raising money for the Stroke Association and the Bannatyne Lodge Residents’ Fund.”
